  • Trip information: Departure/arrival cities, dates, available weight, and accepted package types.
  • Payment data: Processed securely via third-party providers for purchasing posting credits (500 FCFA/kg).
  • Usage data: Cookies, IP addresses, and device information to analyze platform usage and personalize your experience.
  • Communication: Messages exchanged via our internal messaging system to support mediation in case of disputes.

2. Google User Data Accessed

If you sign in using Google, we access basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. This data is used solely for account creation and authentication. We do not access other Google services like Gmail content, Drive files, or calendar data unless explicitly authorized for additional features. Our handling of Google user data complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy, available at developers.google.com.

3. Data Usage

We use your data to:

  • Manage your account, listings, and platform interactions.
  • Facilitate communication between travelers and senders via our messaging system.
  • Secure transactions and prevent fraud (e.g., identity verification).
  • Enhance user experience, analyze performance, and personalize content (e.g., trip recommendations).
  • Provide customer support and assist with dispute resolution.
  • For Google user data (name, email, profile picture), we use it to create and authenticate your Rocolis account, pre-fill profile fields for convenience, and facilitate secure login. This data is processed securely using encryption during transmission and is handled in compliance with Google's API Services User Data Policy.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

  • Other users to facilitate transactions (e.g., name, phone number, or trip details).
  • Trusted third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors, hosting, analytics) bound by data protection agreements.
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to investigate fraudulent activities.
  • Google user data is not shared with third parties except as necessary for service providers (e.g., authentication services) under strict data protection agreements. We may share anonymized usage data with Google for compliance reporting.

We never sell your data, including Google user data, to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage & Protection

We implement robust security measures, including encryption and SSL protocols, to protect your data. All user data, including Google user data, is stored on secure servers hosted by reputable cloud providers (e.g., AWS or Google Cloud) with access controls, regular security audits, and encryption at rest.   • Rectification: Update your personal information at any time.
  • Deletion: Request account deletion, including Google user data, by contacting support@rocolis.com. Upon deletion, we revoke Google access tokens and permanently delete your data within 30 days.
  • Objection: Opt out of certain data uses (e.g., marketing).
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data, including Google user data, in a structured format.

7. Cookies and Tracking

8. Data Retention

We retain your data, including Google user data, only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Data may be kept longer to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records for up to 7 years) or resolve disputes. Inactive accounts are deleted after 3 years unless otherwise requested. Upon account deletion, Google access tokens are revoked, and associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

1. Acceptance of Terms

2. Platform Usage

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration and trip postings.
  • Not transport or ship prohibited items, including drugs, weapons, ammunition, hazardous materials, perishables, live animals, or undeclared sensitive documents.
  • Maintain respectful and professional communication via our messaging system.
  • Comply with applicable local, national, and international laws.
  • Avoid using Rocolis for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes, including harassment or identity theft.

3. Liability

Rocolis is a platform connecting travelers and senders. We are not responsible for:

  • Packages: Loss, damage, theft, or non-delivery of packages. Users are responsible for their agreements.
  • Disputes: Issues between travelers and senders (e.g., delays, damaged goods, non-payment). We encourage amicable resolution and may offer mediation support, but we do not handle financial or material claims.
  • User Verification: While we provide profile verification, you must verify the reliability of other users (e.g., through reviews or communication).
  • Risk: You use Rocolis at your own risk. We do not guarantee the reliability of users or third-party services.

4. Dispute Resolution

Steps to resolve disputes:

  • Direct Contact: Communicate with the other party via Rocolis messaging to resolve issues amicably.
  • Evidence: Keep records (e.g., package photos, receipts, message screenshots) to document the situation.
  • Rocolis Support: If unresolved, contact support@rocolis.com. We may facilitate mediation but are not liable for outcomes.
  • Authorities: For serious issues (e.g., fraud, illegal items), contact relevant authorities. Rocolis will cooperate as required.

5. Payments

Payments on Rocolis include:

  • Posting Credits: Purchased credits for listing announcements, non-refunded except for verified technical errors.
  • Transport Payments: Agreements between travelers and senders. We recommend secure payment methods (e.g., digital wallets, bank transfers). Rocolis is not responsible for related disputes.

6. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violating these terms (e.g., transporting prohibited items).
  • Inappropriate, fraudulent, or harmful behavior toward users.
  • Non-compliance with applicable laws.
  • Prolonged inactivity (accounts inactive for over 3 years).

You may terminate your account via settings or by contacting support@rocolis.com.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Users will be notified via the app or email. Continued use of Rocolis after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
